Kolkata-based Arihant Printers needs little or no introduction because the company is already recognised by the hallmark of their quality printing and products that stand above the rest.
The company is also recognised as first adopter of many groundbreaking machines in East India. Seven- colour KOMORI Lithrone GX40 Advance with UV IR curing technology, now running at the company’s newly opened packaging plant, is first KOMORI press of its model in East India. Further, when it comes to counting the other machines which Arihant Printers brought first to East India, it was the six-colour KOMORI UV press plus coater which the company debuted in the region in 2015.
Recalling the early days of business, Mr Sunny Jain, Director of Arihant Printers, narrates, “My father, late Shri Dilip Kumar Jain, started our printing business in 1980, under a different name. Arihant Printers came into being in 2006 with our expansive engagement in commercial printing and packaging.” He adds, “As on date, I with my brother Mr Sandeep Jain take care of Arihant Printers.
Just recently, we have made a strategic expansion of our production facility with the opening of a new plant of 1 lakh sqft, which is designated exclusively for packaging printing and conversion. This new plant is where we have installed the brand new Lithrone GX40, complementing to our existing plant of 2 lakh sqft.” Telling about the reason why they persistently choose KOMORI machines one after another over the years, Mr Sunny emphasises, “With a feeling of pride, we would say our association with KOMORI started right from the day one of our business.
We went for the second brand new KOMORI machine, the Lithrone GX40 Advance, because of the unconditional support and cooperation we constantly received from the company.” “Since the launch of KOMORI India as a subsidiary of Tokyo-headquartered KOMORI Corporation in the country, we could figure out tremendous improvement in the company’s activities, a lot better than before.
Their service engineers are well trained. They never let us down or feel shortage of anything,” tells Mr Sunny. He adds, “KOMORI is our tried and tested brand, that’s why we increasingly and continuously go for it over the years.” He continues, “Lithrone GX40 Advance in our new plant is our grand step into packaging. We have so far developed a lot of sample prints on this brand new press and our clients are impressed with the outputs. After all, this new machine with UV & IR curing technology is highly efficient.
Since the day we started running the press in full swing, our production volume has increased to double. We are looking forward to adding more such presses to our new packaging plant.” With a strong team of more than 120 skilled printing and production staff, Arihant Printers is progressively upgrading its production facilities with constant additions of new machines and boosting up the overall activities.
In this, Mr Sunny says the company’s pre-press and post-press divisions have also been correspondingly upgraded with the latest additions of new machines and equipment such as Kodak CtP, Maxima die-cutter, and a string of other automated finishing systems.
