HP Large Format has introduced a series of new products and upgrades that it said would help boost productivity within the AEC (Architects, Engineering, and Construction) industry and allow for greater collaboration.
During the HP Imagine conference yesterday (24 September), the manufacturer unveiled HP Build Workspace, an AI-powered platform that HP said bridges the gap on construction productivity with end-to-end digitisation and seamless collaboration for enhanced productivity within AEC.
It also introduced HP SitePrint’s new Value Pack 3.0 Upgrade Kit, a suite of new features designed to boost productivity and operational autonomy. This introduces features like a 30% improvement in print accuracy, smart navigation, safety stop technology, and shadowing.
Additionally, HP said it is working with large HP SitePrint customers on a proof-of-concept to check surface flatness, which will be available as a subscription service in selected markets by 2025.
A redesigned 2025 Edition of HP’s DesignJet T200/T600 printer series was also launched. With added features that reduce energy consumption and plastics use, HP said this series reduces plastic waste by more than 50% thanks to a new moulded fibre packaging and the removal of most plastic bags.
The machines are said to deliver a “seamless printing experience” thanks to the new HP Click Driver, a large-format driver that enables real-printing preview from any Windows 11 application.
“HP’s DesignJet Series are designed with simplicity, sustainability and security in mind. Thanks to the printer on/off auto scheduler saving up to 65% energy in our HP DesignJet T200/T600 Printer series 2025 Edition, we know our large-format printers are working towards HP’s sustainability goals,” said Daniel Martínez, global head and general manager, HP Large Format.
“And connecting the printer with HP Click Driver provides an intuitive and effortless printing, while making sure that users avoid unnecessary waste and reduce energy consumption, contributing to our goal of achieving net zero carbon emissions across our entire value chain.”
Meanwhile, HP said the launch of new HP Wolf Essential and HP Wolf Pro mean SMEs are safeguarded with HP’s Wolf Security, which offers security features suitable for all market segments. It said all large-format printers are safeguarded from potential threats, reducing vulnerabilities and enhancing resilience.
Build Workspace is available now to customers under a close beta program, while the SitePrint Value Pack 3.0 is available to customers in countries where SitePrint is currently available. SitePrint is to be integrated into the Build Workspace during 2025.
